IT Nation Global Community Workshop Resources

Workshop 1: Frameworks
Cybersecurity frameworks are no longer optional, they are the foundation for how MSPs prove maturity, win client trust, and prepare for an increasingly regulated future. This immersive workshop takes a deep dive into the frameworks shaping the industry today and the GTIA Trustmark that is redefining the global standard for MSPs.
In the first half, participants will break down the essentials of frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, and CMMC, learning how they apply not just to enterprises but to MSP operations and client services. Real-world case studies and guided exercises will help attendees conduct a practical gap analysis, connecting framework controls to client needs in industries like healthcare and finance.
The second half explores the why and how of the GTIA Trustmark, what it measures, why it matters, and how MSPs should prepare. Attendees will draft a Trustmark-aligned roadmap tailored to their business, peer-review it with other MSP leaders, and receive feedback from facilitators.
Led by experts from the MSP, vendor, and standards communities, this workshop provides a clear path forward: how to align with frameworks, prepare for the Trustmark, and strengthen both client confidence and business resilience.

Workshop 2: Creating Resiliency
True resiliency in an MSP or IT services company comes from more than technology alone. It requires strong business structure, clear accountability, and a culture that can adapt and respond effectively to disruption. This interactive workshop brings together two essential elements of resiliency: Business Operating Systems (BOS) that create operational discipline, and cybersecurity simulations that prepare people for real-world crises.
In the first half, participants will explore how frameworks like EOS and Scaling Up provide the structure needed to reduce chaos, align leadership, and build organizations that can withstand pressure. In the second half, the focus shifts to cybersecurity resiliency, where Capture the Flag (CTF) challenges and Incident Response (IR) tabletop exercises equip employees at all levels to anticipate, respond, and recover from security events.
By combining operational maturity with practiced security response, this workshop demonstrates how MSPs can build businesses that not only grow but remain resilient in the face of both internal and external challenges. Attendees will leave with practical tools, hands-on experience, and a roadmap for embedding resiliency into both their business operations and their cybersecurity culture.

Workshop 3: Trustmark
This half-day workshop helps MSP leaders and service delivery managers understand and apply the GTIA Cybersecurity Trustmark framework. Through guided sessions and interactive exercises, participants will assess their current cybersecurity posture, explore how to operationalize Trustmark controls, and prepare for audit readiness. Attendees will leave with practical tools and a clear path toward advancing their cyber maturity.
